From the recording Kamala: The Songbird and the Pleasure Grove
This is the third entry from my Siddhartha Suite. Kamala, in Hesse's novel, teaches Siddhartha all about the sensual pleasures of life. The piece begins with an evocation of Kamala's songbird and moves into the perfumed pleasure grove that Kamala and Siddhartha inhabited together in the novel, a new variation on the opening theme.
